Heart Reflections for the Soul

Jesus Cares For Us

Today we will be reflecting on the beautiful truth—Jesus cares for us.

“But as for me, I would seek God, and to God I would commit my cause—who does great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number.” Job 5:8-9 NKJV

My Dear Precious Child, Before you were born, I already knew you, and called you by name. Before the foundation of the Earth, I knew everything about you. Even then, I had a plan and purpose for you. Your whole life, everything that has ever happened to you was written in My book. Because I love you, I, your Creator, chose to humble Myself. I chose to put on human flesh to experience what it was like to be human so that I may comfort you in all your troubles. I have been with you all your life. I AM the One who created you, formed you with very My own hands in your mother’s womb, and breathed into you the breath of life. I AM the One who has promised to be with you always, never to forsake you, even in old age or when your strength fails. Even through your darkest valleys, you do not need to be afraid, for I AM with you. I will carry you. I will deliver you. Cast all your cares on Me. Commit your cause to Me. Call on Me, and I will answer you. I will show you unsearchable things, marvelous things without number.

Love,
Jesus

These reflections of yours always leave me momentarily breathless. There’s something really tender in this… not just that Jesus cares, but how personally He cares. Not in a distant, general way, but in a way that says, “I’ve been with you through all of it.” That part quietly settles something deep. Because sometimes we don’t question if God exists, we question if He’s been paying attention to our story. And this reminds me He hasn’t missed a single chapter.

What stood out to me most is the thought that He didn’t stay removed from our experience. He stepped into it. “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same” (Hebrews 2:14). That means there’s nothing we face that feels foreign to Him. Not the weight, not the weariness, not the quiet battles no one else sees. He understands from the inside, not just by observation. That changes the way I bring things to Him… it makes it feel less like reporting and more like resting.

And I love the thread of carrying. Not just walking beside, but carrying when strength runs thin. “Even to your old age I am he… I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you” (Isaiah 46:4). That’s steady, committed care. The kind that doesn’t let go when we feel like we’re slipping.

If anything, this made me pause and realize that sometimes I carry things He already asked me to release. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7). Not because He needs the information, but because I need the freedom.
