Prayer asking You to continue working in me: write Your laws on my heart that obeying You comes naturally to me.

Today’s Reflection: being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 NKJV

Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41 NKJV

Heavenly Father, You have promised to continue the work in me that You have begun until Jesus returns. Your Word says to watch and pray so that we don’t fall into temption. Indeed, my spirit is willing, but my flesh is weak. I am thankful that You are long-suffering and patient towards me. Like Paul, I find myself hard to understand for the good I want to do I often neglect to do, and I, too, find myself doing the bad things I do not want to do. I need Your strength. Sometimes, in my pain and frustration, I take my eyes off You, lose my peace, falter, and fall into Satan’s traps. In these times, oh, LORD, I ask for You to guard my lips that I do not sin against You by hurting others. Write Your laws on my heart and mind that when I obey You, it is like I am obeying my own impulse. In Jesus’ Name Amen
