Today’s Reflection: Why are you casted down, o, my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance. Psalms 42:5 NKJV

I will forget my complaint, I will put off my sad face and wear a smile. Job 9:27 NKJV

Heavenly Father, how long must I wait for You to answer me? How long before You save me from this pit? It seems like I have been waiting forever for You to deliever me. I have grown weary in my waiting. Night and day, the tears flow. I ask myself, “Why is my soul casted down within me? Why am I so disturbed when You, my God, are with me?” The battle is raging strong within me: hope or despair, peace or worry, trust or doubt. Help me, Father, not to forget how You have led me in the past. Bring to my remembrance all Your marvelous works on my behalf that I may praise You for Your past delieverence in times of trouble and Your gift of Your perfect peace when I surrender all to You
as I walk even through the darkest valleys. May Your joy overflow in my heart as I dwell in Your Presence under the Shadow of Your wings. Renew my hope as I think of the future glory You have in store for me when all my earthy trials will grow dim and love and peace will reign always. Help me to run the race with patient endurance that I may obtain the crown of life and live with You for all eternity. In Jesus’ Name Amen
