Today’s Reflection:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me. Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18, 19 NKJV

Heavenly Father, when Jesus was here on Earth He prayed for His disciples, “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth.” He is the Way, Truth, and Life. The Word became flesh: lived among us. He came to heal the broken-hearted and set the captives free. He turns our mourning into joy. Gives us beauty for ashes. The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Lord, I have seen Your marvelous works in my life over and over again. You are taking both Your good and perfect gifts and the evil that Satan has meant to harm me and making something beautiful. You have set this captive free. Healed my broken heart. Given me beauty for ashes. Filled me with joy and peace. You have given me a new song to sing. Daily heal my hurts, habits and hang ups. Help me to overcome by the blood of the Lamb. In Jesus’ Name Amen
