Today’s Reflection:
And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of man is also Lord of the Sabbath. ” Mark 2:27-28 NKJV

Heavenly Father, O how I delight in Your Sabbath. A special day of physical and spiritual rest You made for me. You have said, “‘come unto me all You who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.” I do this every day. But the Sabbath, a memorial of Creation, where You rested the seventh day from Your work, blessed it and sanctified it has become a blessing, a true delight: a time of refreshing and renewal. Long before You created me, You knew life would get busy, very hectic, and hard to find the quality time to be still and know You are God. Every week, I look forward to the Sabbath: a mini vacation where I set aside my every day tasks and concerns and bask more fully in Your Presence. Thank You for this precious gift. In Jesus’ Name Amen
