Prayer that we will love one another with our tongue

Today’s Reflection:
Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips. Psalms 141:3 NKJV

Heavenly Father, it is to easy to get caught up in gossip and critical speaking. Help us Father to take our every thought captive discerning if it is of You or from the evil one before it becomes words that cannot be unspoken or actions that cannot be undone. Your Word warns of the danger of gossip and evil speaking. Keep our tongues from evil: our lips from guile. May we depart from evil and do good. Seek peace and purse it. Tame our tongues that life-giving words and not poison flows from them. Remove any critical spirit from us for it is not of You. Let no place be found for the spirit of doubt, resentment, bitterness, or fear in our hearts. Give us the spirit of power, love, and of a sound mind. You are love. Your Word says that if we do not love, we do not know You. Help us to love others as You do. In Jesus’ Name Amen
