Heart Reflections for the Soul

Prayer for Patience to Wait on You.

Today’s Reflection:
I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth ‐ Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord. Psalms 40:1-3 NKJV

Heavenly Father, there are times when I cry out to You from the midst of my troubles that I feel You do not hear me. But I know that is not true for You have never forsaken me or abandoned me. You alone know all things. The end from the beginning. You alone know what my true needs are. Before I call, You answer, and while I am still speaking, You hear. So many times, I have waited patiently for You to reveal Your answer to my prayers: for You to help in times of need. You always hear and answer me. You are teaching me that Your timing: Your way is always best. I sometimes, in my impatience, do things my own way, leaning on my own understanding
which has brought needless heartache and pain. Thank You for pulling me out of the miry clay. Put my feet firmly upon Jesus the Rock. In Jesus’ Name Amen
