Heart Reflections for the Soul

Prayer of amazement that my Creator would choose to become part of His creation and die for me.

Today’s Reflection:
And He said, “Abba,Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me: nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will. ” Mark 14:36 NKJV

…though He [the Lord Jesus Christ] was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. II Corinthians 8:9 NKJV

Heavenly Father, Your love amazes me. Who am I, a mere human, that the Creator of all things thinks about me? And cares about me? Who am I that  You would give Your Son, to die for me so that I can choose life? Why would Jesus, my Creator, love me so much that He chose to give up the majesty of Heaven to become one of us? To suffer more than we could ever imagine and die for me and for you? Why, when You would have sent more than twelve legions of angels to protect Him, would He choose to be arrested, mocked, beaten, and placed upon the cross? Three times He pled with You, if it were possible, to remove this cup from Him. He knew He could not save Himself and us too. He gave His life that we may live. May I like Jesus, humble myself and say, not my will, but yours be done. In Jesus’ Name Amen
