Today’s Reflection:
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.” Matthew 23:37 NKJV

Heavenly Father, how You must weep like Jesus did over the city of Jerusalem whose destruction He foresaw. He knew they were about to reject Him and have Him put to death. He knew the pain and suffering their sins would bring. He longed to gather them together: to protect them like a hen does her chicks. He wants us to find refuge under the shadow of His wings. He said that if He was lifted up, He would draw all mankind to Himself. You are not willing that any should perish but long for all to come to repentance. Your goodness and mercy pursue us all the days of our lives. If we respond with true repentance confessing our sins, You will be faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness for then we can dwell in Your house with You forever. In Jesus’ Name Amen
